Once again it’s been a while since the website was updated so apologies… though there have been a few updates to out Facebook page recently.
Last weekend we had our second year at Hayfield Country Show. It was a very hectic weekend made all the easier by the weather but most of all by the extraordinary and tireless help we’ve received from family and friends.
We’d like to thank everyone who has helped man the tent and walk around the field (and the bus this year) – we’d be lost without your boundless energy and generosity. Thanks to Hayfield Scouts for the loan of the tables this year.
Thank you to everyone who came along and bought things or had their face painted. We are incredibly grateful for all your support and kindness and suffice to say your generosity will make a real difference to the children we are trying to help.
Thank you to every one who donated cakes, biscuits, confectionary, soaps etc – without your kind contributions we wouldn’t have anything to offer. We had so many lovely cakes this year but I’d like to make a special mention for Nicki and Laura Lowe and Karen Garlick who provided the beautiful cakes that we used as raffle prizes this year.
Sadly the person who won Karen’s cup cakes missed the raffle being drawn on Saturday and lived too far away to deliver them, so we are sending a selection of the lovely Holly’s Footprint handmade soaps to her instead. The cupcakes are going to another winner drawn from today’s raffle. Congratulation to The Mann household of Hayfield who won Laura and Nicki’s creation today – we hope you enjoy it.
We need to say a special thank you to Lucy Nicholson and the organisers of Hayfield Country Show who have been incredibly supportive and generous again this year.
So the combined efforts of all those people mentioned above (and probably a few more I’ve forgotten besides… apologies) have resulted in making just over £1000 this weekend which will go towards our projects with Peak School, Manchester Children’s Hospital and another children’s organisation that we will be contacting in the coming week to see if we are able to help them out.
